Dave Humphrys

Managing Director, Head of Design

Dave founded Interspace Industries in 1985 after 15 years as a Technician (10 years as freelance). Not happy with the home-made cue lights that always seemed to be put together at the last minute, and after a customer expressed their concern with the reliability of these, Dave decided to build some professional cueing systems.

By the end of an intense week of design and testing, the very first MasterCue was created! Now the CEO could be given something professional to run their big budget live event with that wasn’t stuck together with gaffer tape! The Interspace Industries range has since continued to be built on this approach to solving real AV industry problems.

Keshia Carter

Keshia joined the company in July 2014 where she started in sales and has since moved into procurement and manufacturing.

Keshia oversees the assembly and testing all of our products before they are shipped out to customers.

In her spare time Keshia is a keen jigsaw puzzler, so appreciates working with small parts that make up the finer details of a bigger picture.

Kit Allen

Kit manages sales for the company and is first point of contact for phone and email enquiries.

He also oversees the dispatch and shipping and makes sure your goods arrive where and when they are needed. In his free time, he enjoys participating in amateur dramatics at the local theatre, so values and appreciates the need for everything to go smoothly on a show!

About Our Products

Cueing Systems

Reliable show / conference cueing systems are essential in all presentations where speakers need to control presentation graphic products such as PowerPoint, Keynote and Impress.

We have developed what is regarded as the industry standard cueing systems, where a reliable wireless presentation is needed for a great corporate event.

Originally the cue light was simply a signal light for an AV technician to move forward on a 35mm slide presentation (before that to signal an actor to walk on stage!). Now USB control is used to directly control many computer platforms be it PC, MAC, LINUX or indeed any other USB enabled device.

The applications for these devices are many – our MicroCue2 systems have been used to wirelessly cue weddings and control lighting desks running complex shows. Our MasterCue V6 USB is used by some of the most prestigious blue chip companies, and AV staging and rental companies who require absolute reliability, and as it tag line suggests, “a missed cue is not an option.”

We deliver all of this, together with exceptional ease of use to give you a great return on your investment.

Timing Systems

Our timing systems are designed for use in large conferences, Council Chambers and other environments where many people have to be seen to be given a fair and equal time to make their presentation.

The products in this range deliver control to the chairman of the meeting and helpful visible timing cues to the presenters.

CountDown Touch is able to count down or up, or show time of day. With four memories, this unit is a full featured timing system.

Filibuster is designed for council chambers and public speaking, and can be used with our Combi-Tower allowing 360 degree visibility for both the speaker and the audience.

Soft CountDown is a software version of CountDown Touch that can be operated with a keyboard and mouse.

Audio Products

The PC Bal Box is the most successful product we have. Plug it in to achieve clean buzz free sound. Simple!

Use the PXB for higher bandwidth and Phono (RCA) connectivity.

Both models work in reverse and are ideal for getting sound into a laptop or to a green room.

Traffic Light Systems

Traffic Lights are common worldwide. Green is universal for “Go”, Amber (yellow) “Get ready” and Red for “Stop”.

Our Indicator2 is this simple. It uses a simple lamp that can change from Green to Amber to Red and/or the LightTower with 360 degree viewing.

Both of these are connected with standard XLR cable (user supplied).

Work Lighting

We were asked to design a desk lamp that was robust, dimmable, and with red, blue and white light. The WorkLite compares to a 15w bulb (incandescent) but only uses 4w total (full on).

This range is currently being expanded, so check back for updates and new products.

Accessories

We understand that every job is different and as we all know also, regrettably items do get lost or left behind on shows. Therefore a comprehensive range of replacement or additional accessories for all of our products is available.
